Citadel has received Lottery funding to establish Ignition Training. Ignition is the brainchild of our director David Brazer who noticed that some service users needed a different support strtucture to the ones offered in the sector. Ignition was born in 2014 and has gone on to win awards for the great work they are doing.
Just been awarded a contract to deliver mechanic training beginner courses to young adults. We look forward to meeting these clients and supporting them with their confidence, motivation, CV and of course skills for work.
Citadel and Ignition Auto Training has been successful in accessing both the Making it Real Grant and the Innovation Fund in 2014. Making it Real has enabled us to set up our garage training centre and the Innovation Fund is allowing us to support a number of people through the Institute of Motor Industry Award accredited course.

Citadel has been successful in accessing a short contract from the probation service for extra running costs of the garage and develop a resource to be accessed by some of their service users.

Only 10 places left available for unemployed individuals between to take advantage of this employability and life skills training programme and access one to one support towards employment support. Delivered by our ex DWP Psychologist the training workshops are enjoyable and interesting. Once the workshops have been attended the clients are given one to one support to help with the journey towards employment.
was designed to assist clients with learning difficulties to take the first step on their journey into employment or training. We teamed up with a number of employers to offer work taster days, training and support to enable the clients to gain experience in the workplace. We also took the opportunity to offer support to the employer’s to assist them to get the best out of their disabled employees.
Citadel Associates was a provider for the Key Worker Community Engagement program in South Yorkshire. Each eligible client accessed an Employment Key Worker or IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) worker to give them the support structure which allowed them to access a range of specialised provision and one to one support which allowed them to move into sustainable employment or further academic training..
Citadel was awarded part of the government’s DWP Future Jobs Fund contract to assist people between the ages of 18 – 24 who had never experienced work into employment for the first time. Citadel also supported a number of other local employers to access the fund which offered structured support to them and any employees they took on for up-to 6 months.
Citadel runs a number of 4 day employability courses to unemployed individuals delivered by our Occupational Psychologist and through our first round of funding for these courses we supported 30 individuals into employment.
We have recently delivered a number of courses on behalf of the NHS to corporate client’s to their Line Managers supporting staff with Mental Health issues (Line Manager Mental Health Awareness sessions). We also completed a research evaluation for the NHS and DWP.
We have trained a number of unemployed people in Sheffield in ICT skills to find employment opportunities with our innovative Up 4 IT ICT training workshops. Focussing on CV's, Website searches, Online application forms, e-mails and social media.
